Event Information
About the Daffodil Run for Big Brothers Big Sisters
The Daffodil Run is a celebration of the strength of young people, Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring programs, and our community! The event includes a 10K run and 5K run/walk, with courses that showcase the 50,000 daffodils planted in celebration of the Town of Amherst’s 250th anniversary. Both courses are USATF certified. On race day, Kendrick Park in downtown Amherst transforms into a festive, family-friendly space with a pre-race warm up, activities for all ages, music, a bounce house, games, food and more! New this year: a book sale of gently used children's books will be part of the festivities on Kendrick Park. Bring your whole family to run, walk or cheer you on at this favorite springtime event!
Register to walk or run by April 1, 2019 to be guaranteed a free event t-shirt. Registrants may select an adult size moisture-wicking t-shirt or a youth size cotton event t-shirt. On race day, all registrants can present their bib to receive a free post-race lunch from The Pub!
Fundraising
Signing up for the Daffodil Run is one important step in helping to ignite the potential inherent in local kids! Step two is raising funds by asking friends and family to support your cause with a donation. The Daffodil Run started nine years ago as a fundraiser for CHD's Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampshire County. New in 2019, we are partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampden County, so runners and walkers can choose which agency they want to raise funds for. We hope to match even more young people with mentors through this collaboration! You can choose the agency you are supporting when you create your personalized fundraising page here:

Parking
Free local parking is available near Kendrick Park. Participants may also park at Amherst-Pelham Regional High School located at 21 Mattoon St., approximately one half mile from Kendrick Park.
